today Burnley Vs. Newcastle United Premier League Prediction for 2nd December 2014 Newcastle finally crashed their run of successes with a defeat at West Ham last weekend. With Burnley starting to gather a bit of pace in their fight against the dreaded drop, can the Clarets sneak at least a point on home turf against the travelling Magpies? You would expect there to be a bit of blood and thunder about this one and probably not a lot of goals. Newcastle are up as 7/4 favourites, with Burnley at 17/10 and the draw at 9/4.
Burnley take a win over Hull City and a victory over Stoke City was followed up by a draw on the weekend against Aston Villa, so Sean Dyche’s men are starting to fresh up. Those have been their only two wins of the entire Premier League season, so you have to keep that in mind. Defensively they do appear to have tightened up a bit, having conceded just two goals in their last three matches.

There is no history between these two. Is because Burnley and Newcastle United have not met in any competition since the 1982-83 season. This will be the first meeting since 1975-76. Burnley could potentially climb out of the drop zone if they bag a win on Tuesday night, even a draw may be enough for them to do it. They have to see what Hull City and QPR will do in the week, because they are all level on 11 points.

Newcastle have lost their last game against West Ham on the weekend, which ruined a brilliant run of winning form (6 wins in a row). During that run they conceded just the one goal. Given the fact that Burnley aren’t a big offensive threat, it could give a big hope for victory to Newcastle team. However, they are the better of the two sides. Newcastle have posted two wins in their last three away games, losing just one of their last four. So the form is there, even though they have scored just six away goals this term.

Newcastle did put in a great shift at West Ham, despite controlling most of possession. There wasn’t a lot of cut and thrust, but you would expect better against Burnley, who have given up goals this season. Is not so easy to find a right soccer prediction for this match, but something like under 2.5 goals sounds credible. Of course you can choose Newcastle for the win, but keep in mind that last lost game against West Ham. A draw to finish this battle looks more possible than victory for both of the teams.
