Hamilton fastest on the "short" training in Singapore 23.09.2011

Briton Lewis Hamilton gave McLaren the best time late in the first training for Sunday's Singapore Grand Prix, round of the Formula 1 calendar.

26-year-old English record lap on the track "Marina Bay" of 1:48.599 minutes, leaving half a second before the championship leader Sebastian Vettel to Red Bull. Third time a Mark Webber Red Bull again.

Training was shortened by half an hour because of a delay necessitated by an emergency repair of the runway at the last minute. Ferrari on the second in the standings Fernando Alonso remained with the fourth time, while the second McLaren of Jenson Button ranked fifth.

Sixth Massa did finish the team of "horses". Adrian Sutil of Force India is ranked seventh in front of compatriot and seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher in a Mercedes.
