Grondona apologized to the British for having called them "pirates"

English FA chief David Bernstein revealed that he had received a letter from the head of his colleague Julio Grondona Argentinian football. In Latin it presents its apologies for having called the British "pirates" during the FIFA Congress.

Grondona has taken a serious attack on England during the said Congress, calling on the FA bosses "pirates" and "liars" and stressing that the country can get its vote to host the World, only to be returned to Argentina, Falkland Islands.

The English were very pleased with apologize, stressing that relations between the two federations have improved after the controversy.

England is a thorn in Grondona since appeared in the documentary program "Panorama", which talks about corruption in FIFA and which are directly accused namely Grondona and his colleague Ricardo Teixeira of Brazil.
