Iron Gattuso began training 16.11.2011

Italian midfielder Gennaro Gattuso resume training with the team of AC Milan, after being nearly two-month treatment of optic nerve of the left eye. He received an injury in a collision with team-mate Alessandro Nesta on 9 September.

"It is still early to talk about a full recovery and to determine dates for his return game, but its field presence is a sign that gives us courage," announced the club's official website.

Gattuso hit the driving range without special glasses, which was forced to wear in recent months. The midfielder, who was a key player in Italy winning the world title in 2006 but, gave up international football last year.

This happened after the removal of the Italians in the group stage of World Cup in South Africa.
