The media in England once again believe that Tottenham playmaker Luka Modric will replace London with Manchester in the summer. This time the occasion were the words of Roberto Mancini with whom Manchester City manager expressed his admiration of the player of Tottenham.
Before the start of the season 26year old Modric was at the center of many speculation about his possible transfer to Chelsea. It was thought that even the the player wants to play for rivals of Tottenham, but at the end Harry Redknapp and the president of Tottenham Daniel Levy were able to keep the player.
At the end of the previous season Manchester United was the main favorite for the signature of Croatian midfielder, as then, and now Sir Alex Ferguson is not sparing superlatives about him.
But now City manager hinted that he would try to steal the creative player in the summer. "Luka Modric is an outstanding player. He is definitely one of the best in the league" said Mancini. "It won't be easy to take him because he is playing for a big club like Tottenham. They certainly will not want to be apart with him" added the the Italian.
Problem facing the City is a long-term contract with Tottenham Modric, which expires in June 2016
