Stroke on England - Wilshere misses EURO 2012

2.07.2012

London Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said bad news for all fans of the "ball" and the English national team, that one of the young talents of British football Jack Wilshere will miss the rest of the season. This respectively means that the talented midfielder will miss the forthcoming European Championships in Poland and Ukraine.

Until recently, the media in Britain argued that Wilshere will soon be ready to play, but the deterioration of his ankle injury received in the friendly against New York Red Bulls, kills his hopes to participate in official matches this season.

"Jack won't play by the end of the season and Euro 2012, that's for sure. He was devastated by the news" said Wenger.

"Everything that held him until now, it was the fact that he may not recover for the season with us, but at least he will play in Poland and Ukraine. It is now clear that he couldn't. His recovery is not fast enough to think that he will play on the European" added Platini.

Until now, one of the young stars in the Premier League has played 64 matches in all competitions, scoring two goals since his debut with the team of "gunners." It happened on September 13, 2008 with the win over Blackburn with 4:0 as a guests.
