Casillas and Alonso: Big shock, we are upset, but Bayern Munich is a great team 2.07.2012

"This is a big hit for us. The game was equal, while the penalties are a lottery" said the goalkeeper and captain of Real Madrid Iker Casillas after losing on penalties to Bayern Munich in the Champions League semifinals.

"We played well, but Bayern Munich is a great team. Now we are left to concentrate on the league and to become champions" said Casillas.

The midfielder Xabi Alonso, who only scored for Real Madrid on penalties, said:
"Of course we are quite disappointed, but we are coping - it's part of football. Today we are feeling the other side of football but we knew that could happen. We wish Bayern the best of luck and congratulations to them."
