Fenerbahce withdraws his appeal against UEFA

Turkish giants Fenerbahce withdraw the case against UEFA and the Turkish Football Federation, with which the club was looking compensation for their elimination from the Champions League because of the match-fixing scandal in the country.

The club withdrew his appeal from Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, but do not specify the reason for his decision. Fenerbahce demanded compensation of 45 million, which the club lost with the emimination from the Champions League this season.

Fenerbahce won the title last season in Turkey, but the club was involved in match-fixing scandal in the country, the president of the club Aziz Yildirim was arrested. The Turkish Football Federation withdrew Fenerbahce of the Champions League last August, several days before the draw for the group stage.
