The team of West Ham achieved a solid victory in the first semifinal playoff for entry in the English Premiership. "Hammers" led with 2:0 in their visiting to Cardiff and will have a comfortable lead before the second leg at "Upton Park" on Monday.
Ironically or not, a hero for the Londoners became Welsh forward Jack Collison, who achieved both goals for the winners. Collison opened the score in the eighth minute when he score saved by the goalkeeper ball after a shot.
Five minutes before the break, Collison was back in the arms of his teammates after his shot ricochet into Liam Lawrence and stopped at the web of the door of the hosts.
After this match West Ham is the main favorite for the place in the finals which will be played at Wembley, then it will become clear and the last team that next season will play in the Premier League.
