Andrei Arshavin will be the captain of the Russian combined team of Euro 2012 4.07.2012

The forward of Zenit, 30-year-old Andrei Arshavin will be the captain of the Russian combined team of the matches of Euro 2012, announced today the Dutch coach of the Russian team Dick Advocaat.

"Arshavin will be our captain" said Advocaat who after Euro 2012 is leaving his post as coach of Russia.

Unstable in Arsenal, in January Arshavin returned to his home club Zenit and showed excellent form.

Andrei Arshavin has 68 games for the combined team of Russia, who has scored 17 goals.
