Mathieu Valbuena's agent rejected the rumors that his client will leave "Stade Velodrom" in the summer.
The wing was among the best players of Olympique de Marseille, and despite the weak season of the team, he was a transfer target for several leading European clubs. The club finished in the unenviable 10th place in Ligue 1, which additionally increased the speculation about him, but the French international is determined to remain in the team and next season.
"Together with Valbuena met with the club" said the manager of player Christophe Hutto. "Valbuena will remain in Marseille next season because he loves the team indefinitely."
"He had offers from other clubs. He will remain because he wants to participate in the restoration of Marseille. Over the next few days he will extend his contract probably until June 2017" said Hutto.
