Spaniard will play the opening match of Euro 2012 5.07.2012

The Spaniard Carlos Velasco Karbayo will be chief justice of the the opening match of Euro 2012 on Friday between Poland and Greece at the National Stadium in Warsaw, said UEFA.

Karbayo Velasco, 41 years old, was the fourth judge in Munich last month's Champions League final between Chelsea and Bayern Munich.

The Spaniard was a judge at the final of UEFA Cup in 2011in which Porto defeat Sporting Braga with 1:0. Carlos Velasco Karbayo is an international referee since 2008.
