Almost one million spectators gathered the stadiums and the fan zones in Poland

Almost one million fans were watching the first matches of the group stage of European Football Championship at Polish stadiums and fan zones, said the tournament organizers.

The Poles that are co-hosts of the tournament with Ukraine, accounted for around half of the 905,000 fans who watched the games from the first three days of Euro 2012, added

the representative of the organizers Marcin Hera. The largest foreign group of fans was the Irish.

Numerous fans create and problems. So far in arrests have fallen 71 people, half were consumed significant quantities of alcohol. 41 of them were Poles, 10 Russians, and seven were Croats and Irish. On two of them the identity was unknown.
