Guatemala came to draw against the USA 6.07.2012

The national team of Guatemala, which is facing Bulgaria in the FIFA world rankings, reached the surprising 1:1 draw against the USA in the World Cup qualifier in football.

Clint Dempsey gave the Americans advance in the 40th minute but the wing Mark Pope scored unsalvageable blow below the crossbar guarded by Tim Howard's gate just seven minutes before the end of the meeting. This was a huge disappointment in the U.S. team which failed to take the lead in Group "A" World Cup qualifiers from CONCACAF, uniting the countries of Central and North America.

Canada also encountered difficulties in its qualification only after came to a 1:1 draw against Honduras in Toronto.
