Mellberg is a player of the match Swedish - England 6.07.2012

The defender of the Swedish national football team Olof Mellberg was elected as Player of the the game of Euro 2012 between Sweden and England.

After shot of Mellberg Sweden's team evened the score in the 49th minute, but after that it was felt that this was an own goal by the English defender Glen Johnson. In the 59th minute however Mellberg scored an excellent goal with head and Sweden lead with 2:1.

Mellberg received a yellow card for selfless play in defense.

Franck Ribery was Player of the match at the first meeting of the day - France - Ukraine 2:0.
