Trapattoni: After the first goal the game was over 7.07.2012

The Italian coach of Ireland Giovanni Trapattoni said after the loss of Italy and dropping out of Euro 2012: "We proved that we are people tonight. We made mistakes in both corners / which led to both goals / as usually we don't do, but I'm proud of our game. We promised to Italy to show our honor, but we knew that Italy can beat us.

"During the first twenty minutes we played well. After the first goal of the game was over. I'm disappointed, but there is hope that we can play better. Tonight did not changed anything in my team, they played well, "said Trapattoni.
