Ciro Ferrara takes Sampdoria 7.07.2012

Sampdoria may appoint as their head coach Ciro Ferrara today or tomorrow, said sporting director of the Genoese Pasquale Sensibile.

"We will announce the possible appointment of Ferrara within the next 24 hours," said Sensibilie on Monday morning.

"There are still a few things to clear between the coach and the Italian Football Federation for release from his contract," said the head of the Doria.

Currently Ciro Ferrara, a former coach of Napoli and Juventus, is coach of the youth national team of Italy to 21 years.

At the head of Sampdoria Ferrara will replace Giuseppe Yakin, who last season managed to return the team from Luigi Ferraris stadium in Serie A.
