Corinthians won the Copa Libertadores for the first time 8.07.2012

The Brazilian champion Corinthians won for the first time in club history, the most prestigious South American club football tournament for Copa Libertadores.

With two goals in the second half of Emerson Corinthians win the rematch six times champion Boca Juniors from Argentina with 2:0.

Graduates of Adenor Tite reach the trophy with a total score of 3:1 after the first meeting in Buenos Aires last week wit 1:1.

Corinthians continued strong domestic series in the tournament. The team finished unbeaten on the pitch and has allowed only one goal in the their door.
