Malaga president Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al Thani became the owner of club of La Liga, who openly stated his dissatisfaction with the system for distribution of television revenues between the teams.

The problem lies in the fact that Barcelona and Real Madrid take the main part of the money, and this increases the gap between them and the other teams. The two grand receive about half of all revenues from television rights, which amounted to 600 million euros. The reason lies in the fact that each club negotiates its terms individually instead of relying on the collective agreement.

According to Al-Thani, Barcelona and Real Madrid get 135 million euros, while the third Valencia takes only 65 million from television rights. In his words last season Malaga won only 13 million.

Furthermore the Sheikh opposed the new tax rules aimed at facilitating the clearance of total debt worth 750 million euro. Most of the clubs in the Primera and Segunda Division have accumulated quite obligations as they owe and additional 600 million euros of the social security system.

"There are some clubs who avoid taxes in their own way and we all know who they are," wrote Al-Thani, in his "Twitter" account. "How the smaller club, without to talk or want regular TV rights will develop? I want an open investigation on the matter of free media, independent of the big clubs. All this is extremely dangerous for the reputation of the Spanish championship, "added the owner of Malaga.
