The Catalan press exploded: Xabi Alonso runs away from Real Madrid 13.08.2012

Several Premier League clubs monitor the situation closely, since part of the media in Spain reported that Xabi Alonso has decided to leave Real Madrid.

The midfielder has signed a contract with "the white ballet" until 2014, but according to the Catalan newspaper "Sport", he has diverged the proposed 2 years extension.

The issue remains that due next summer Alonso will hear all offers, such as the Italian champion Juventus is now considered as the favorite in the race for the signature of the Spanish national.

The Grand from Turin will have to deal with competition from some of the leading clubs in England, where Alonso made a name with the Liverpool team.
