Berbatov is in Italy, it remains to pass medical examination before signing 29.08.2012

Dimitar Berbatov is already in Italy, where he must undergo a medical examination and then officially become a player of Fiorentina. This tells the authoritative English edition of "Guardian", citing a source close to the player.

"Fiorentina agreed on personal terms with Dimitar and will announce the deal soon," said the source, who said the deal depends only on successful completion of the medical tests.

The contract of the Bulgarian with team from Florence will be for two years with an option to extend it for another.

If the transfer is executed, Berbatov will become the fourth Bulgarian who played in Serie A after a Nikolay Iliev, Hristo Stoichkov and Valeri Bojinov, who played at Fiorentina between 2005 and 2007.
