Disgraced Michael Owen arrived in Stoke-On-Trent, where he started negotiations about the final two-year contract with Stoke informed Sky Sports. The striker was snared by Manchester United and so far failed in his attempts to find a new club whose colors to defend this season.
The 32 years old has repeatedly stated that interest in him isn't missing, but has not yet taken a final decision. In recent days, it actively spoke that Owen could return to his former club Liverpool, but it seems that these statements will prove to be false. The manager of the "reds" Brendan Rodgers has desperate need for a striker after allowing Andy Carroll to go to West Ham, while at the same time failed to find a replacement.
After losing from Arsenal with 0:2, Rogers is not exclude the possibility to seek Owen, who is currently a free agent.
According to reports in England, however, Owen is closer to contract with "the potters" from Stoke City, as is expected the deal to officially happen on today.
