Emile Heskey will continue his career in Australia after signing with the local Newcastle Jets. He goes to the team as a free agent after Aston Villa does not renew his contract.

The 34 years old put his signature under contract for one season.

The Australian Football Championship starts on Oct. 6. In it will play and the Italian star Alessandro Del Piero, who went to FC Sydney.

Emile Heskey has 110 goals in 516 matches in the Premier League for 17 years. He played over 150 games for Liverpool between 2000 and 2004, and there are 62 games for the England team.
