USA will accept Copa America 2016 25.10.2012

The management of the football Confederation of CONMEBOL South America decided to give the U.S. hosting of Copa America in 2016 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the race.

CONMEBOL announced that at the meeting held in the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires has decided to extend the tournament with teams from North, Central America and the Caribbean.

At this tournament in 2016 will involve 16 teams, adding to the 10 members of CONMEBOL, will be added and 6 of CONCACAF. Two of them are clear - the hosts of U.S. and Mexico, the other four will be determined according to the CONCACAF rankings and the results from Gold Cup tournament.

Copa America 2016 is Anniversary Edition and will be squeezed between the tournaments in 2015 and in 2019 a year.
