Sao Paulo step away from the semifinal in Copa Sudamericana 1.11.2012

The Brazilian Sao Paulo FC won with 2:0 against Universidad de Chile in the first quarterfinal match of the Copa Sudamericana, the second-highest club competition in South America.

Both goals scored Villiers Jose, who scored in the 8th and 18th minutes. The guests from Chile were 10 on the field as early as the 25th minute because of the red card of Eugenio Menya.

The other quarterfinal matches of the tournament were Independiente (Argentina) - Universidad Catolica (Chile), Cerro Portenyo (Paraguay) - Tigre (Argentina) and Milionarios (Colombia) - Gremio (Brazil).
