3.01.2013

Liverpool beat with the nice 3:0 over Sunderland in their first game of the new year. "The reds" rejoiced "Anfield" with the good start, in front of their new signing Daniel Sturridge, who watched the game from the stands.

Luis Suarez gave the spark in the game for Liverpool and Raheem Sterling beautifully realized goal to find results. Sunderland obviously still going through the holidays and had a lot of gaps in defense and hardly found their way to the door of the hosts.

Sterling scored the first goal still in the 19th minute after mastered submission of Suarez and outplayed the goalkeeper Simon Minolta.

Luis Suarez doubled the advance of the "reds" in the 26th minute and in the 53rd he again scored the final 3:0.

Martin O'Neill did not find an answer for Liverpool's game, and his Sunderland was lucky not to walk away with more goals in the door by the end of the game. Pepe Reina only a few times had to deal in the game, but had no major problems against the apathetic game of guests.

Liverpool had two canceled goals of Glen Johnson and substitute Joe Allen, but both were not properly recognized by the referee Phil Dowd for offside.

Liverpool are eighth in the Premier League with 31 points, while with their 22 Sunderland's 14th position.
