Adebayor said "Yes" to Togo, he will play for the African Cup

The striker Emmanuel Adebayor will eventually play in the Cup of African Nations. The top scorer originally planned to withdraw because of security concerns, but left the camp with Togo, to prepare for the race.

Adebayor threatened the football bosses at home that will not play if they do not ensure the security of the entire team, and if are not paid premiums that the federation owes to themr.

The manager of Togo Didier Six personally went to speak with Adebayor in December to change his mind, and yesterday federation president Amey Gabriel assured that have a positive response from the attacker.

"Of course we will participate in the Africa Cup along with Adebayor, he will be with us in South Africa. He is the captain of the team and is very important for us, "said Gabriel.

If Togo reach the final of the tournament, Adebayor will miss four games at Tottenham in England.

Togo is in a group D along with Ivory Coast, Tunisia and Algeria. The tournament is from 19 January to 10 February.
