Xabi Alonso with neck injury 10.01.2013

Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso has received a neck injury and so was replaced forcibly during the game rematch for the Cup of the King against Celta Vigo (4:0) of the "Santiago Bernabeu".

Alonso received a nasty blow to the neck after a collision with player of Celta Lucas in December.

The medical team of Real Madrid is considered that there is no need to risk the health of Alonso, who today will take an additional examination.

Xabi Alonso is expected to be available to coach Jose Mourinho for the forthcoming visit of Osasuna from the Spanish Cup.
