Bayern without Ribery and Schweinsteiger against Arsenal

11.03.2013

A bad news received in the camp of Bayern Munich, after it became clear that their star striker Franck Ribery will miss the Champions League second leg against Arsenal.

The 29-year-old Frenchman will have to watch the game from the stands of the "Allianz Arena" on Wednesday because of the external ligament strain of the left ankle. Ribery got injured during the match against Fortuna Düsseldorf on Saturday, winning with 3:2. The wing scored a goal for 2:2 and spend 90 minutes, but after the game it became clear that he had received the injury.

However, Bayern can be confident, because in the first leg in London were again without the Frenchman, who was then punished and without problems won with 3:1.

In the second leg with "The Gunners" Jupp Heynckes will not be able to rely on his other two principals - Bastian Schweinsteiger and Jerome Boateng, who are punished.
