The former Arsenal player Lyunberg Frederick said he was very proud of his appointment as ambassador to the club.
The Swede, who spent 10 years in London and will be responsible for the development and promotion of the "Gunners" around the world.
"I am honored to take the role of ambassador," he said. "The club has always had a special place in my heart. Everyone knows that I will do everything to move forward. "
Lyunberg will have little time to get acquainted with his new duties as next week will travel to Asia, where he will promote summer pre-season tour of the "Gunners".
