FA General Secretary Alex Horne revealed that the base of England during the World Cup in Brazil will be in Rio de Janeiro.
Horne admitted that from FA have previously chosen the base in Rio, although their classification was not sure until the final matches. Home of the team during the World Cup will be the five-star Royal Tupil of Sao Conrado beach.
"The draw is on December 6, but we made plans about where we will be, which we discussed with FIFA," said Horn.
"You have to be with priority in this game, FIFA nominated hotels and training centers, and we did our homework and chose where we will be based in Brazil, and it will be Rio."
Part of the preparation for the World will include friendlies in November, May, and in the days before the World Cup in June and the first match will probably be against Germany. Just before the World Cup, the FA hopes to arrange the control with the U.S. in Miami.
"We are planning two friendly games here (Wembley) in November to celebrate with the fans before to go to Rio. Then one control here in March, then one at the end of May, to play two preparatory match before we go to Brazil, "added Horn.
