Lars Bender is out for the World Cup

Germany midfielder Lars Bender is injured and missed the World Cup in Brazil. Footballer of Bayer Leverkusen has a thigh injury and the coach Joachim Loew will be able to rely on him for World Cup 2014, which starts in June. 25-year-old Bender has played 17 games with the team of Bundestima.

"When a player drops out of the composition such a short time before the tournament, then you are all very disappointed. Lars really wanted to play for Germany in Brazil," said Loew.
