Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger insisted that Lukas Podolski remains an important part of his plans.
The German international has recently hinted that he could leave the "Emirates" because of the lesser playing time, which occurs after the arrival of Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck in the summer. The former Bayern Munich and Cologne player hoped because of the injury of Olivier Giroud to spend more time on the field, but that is not happening so far.
Naturally the discontent of Podolski immediately sparked speculation that he will be sold in January but Wenger is not considering such an option.
