The winner of the Golden Ball for the year 2001 Luis Figo will run for the Presidency of the world soccer power plant. The former Portuguese Footballer told CNN that he had received the necessary support from at least five national federations and has the right to submit his candidacy for the elections on May 29 at FIFA'S Congress in Zurich.

The deadline for submitting applications is midnight tomorrow.
