Barcelona has garnered more than 3 million euros for UNICEF

Barcelona gathered more than 3 million to UNICEF for one of the most ambitious projects, '1 of 11'. The auction of Sotheby's auction house was held in the halls of the 'Bond Street'. Jeff Koons, Damien Hirst, Cai Guo Qian, Jenny Holcer, Takashi Murakami, Richard Serra and Luc Tajmins are among the 17 major artists who donated their artwork at the auction.
Takashi Murakami has created a new picture, especially for the campaign, showing a Leo Messi among the emblematic flower of the artist. Murakami, who created the logo for the campaign, also contributed with decorated with flowers, signed soccer ball.
Proceeds from the auction will be donated to charity campaign, whose face was Lionel Messi. UNICEF, the Foundation of Football Club Barcelona and ROTA will donate the proceeds from the sale of paintings of children in Bangladesh, Indonesia and Nepal for access to quality education.
The aim of the campaign is to help the 58 million children worldwide who have access to education.
The painting with the image of Lionel Messi at the world renowned Japanese artist Takashi Murikamki was sold for 428 thousand euros.
