Beckham has supported the candidacy of Figo for the President of FIFA

David Beckham said that the candidate, whom he supports for President of FIFA, was his former teammate at Real Madrid's Luis Figo.
Last month, 42-year-old former Portuguese national said it would participate in the elections in may for the boss of World Football Association, thus became one of the four contenders for the post. The other three are the current head Sepp Blatter, guests can reach the Prince Ali bin Al Hussein and President of the Dutch Football Federation Michael Van Praagh.
'I congratulate my friend Luis Figo for his decision to run. Every successful organization needs good people who are committed to the idea and want to give the best to the fans.', said Beckham. The former England captain is another major figure in the football world, advocating for Figo. Before him and Jose Mourinho expressed support for the fellow, saying 'his rich career and ensure a better future of FIFA.'
Behind Figo has 127 matches with the national team of Portugal, as well as 20 seasons and 93 goals with the teams of sporting Lisbon, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Inter Milan.
