Rodgers: 'I was very close to pull out Coutinho.'

Liverpool's manager, Brendan Rodgers admitted he was on a shift away from Philippe Coutinho in the match against Stoke City. The Brazilian once again became a hero for Merseysiders, who launched his campaign in the Premier League with 1:0 over the Potters.
The point guard made a difference in comparable positions and stripped from the match with a perfect swing four minutes before the end of the meeting.
'It is always difficult to visit of Stoke. The defensive plan we were strong and we knew all the time that we have the class to win the derby.', said Rogers.
'The previous time was bad (loss: 1:6), but today I saw determination and quality in the game. This win is definitely for the fans. They will be very proud of the team tonight'.
'How close I was to change Coutinho? A lot! I don't pretend that I am a genius. Danny Ings was going to come, but apparently was pleased with his goal and left it to the end.'
'Coutinho is already a star. He trained with us for only 3 weeks, so it's not even close to peak form.', added Rodgers.
