A serious blow to his ambitions for the new season got the Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger. Today, he learnt that he will not be able to rely on one of its main players in attack, Danny Houellebecq.
The English national recovering from knee problems from April onwards. In recent weeks, he seemed close to returning and the Gunners had hoped that will be able to use up to a month.
Today, however, Houellebecq underwent surgery of sacral links of the knee. This will keep him out of the land 'for several months', revealed by the club. It is still not clear exactly how much time the player will be out of the game, but it's probably to be out at least until the end of the year.
This is a serious blow to Wenger and the ambitions of the 'Gooners'. He did not attract a new striker this summer, with the idea that soon will be able to once again enjoy Houellebecq. Now he will have to wait until at least January to reinforce the team in attack.
