Rafael Nadal was declared the best athlete in 2010 in Europe. The survey results are based on a survey of 25 European agencies. The Spaniard, who last season won three Grand Slam titles, received recognition for number 1 in Europe for the second time in his career. The previous was in 2008. So Rafa inherited Roger Federer as a winner of the award. Federer was declared the best athlete in Europe five times in the last seven years.

24-year-old Nadal won the poll with a total of 179 points. After it was world champion in Formula 1 and No. 1 athlete of Germany Sebastian Vettel, who has 114 points. Third athlete Blanka Vlasic is with 114 points.
