Shanghai Shenhua released Cahill

16.02.2016

The Australian footballer Tim Cahill was released by Chinese Shanghai Shenhua. The club decided to part with the 36-year-old midfielder, who did not enter into the plans of the new head coach of the team Gregorio Mansano.
'Indeed, we have signed a new contract in November, but the situation changed. We agreed to shut my contract. I felt good out there, I think that really helped the team on the field. My heart breaks at the thought that I'm going to have to part with my teammates and with these amazing fans.', said Cahill.
'I'm free, as the club will pay off my entire penalty, which owes me. But not really, it's nice to get this over with. It is coming soon to learn what was happening to me.', added the former midfielder of Everton, Millwall, Tranmere.
