Pellegrini: 'I didn't expect us to be so bad.'

The Manchester City manager, Manuel Pellegrini, admitted that he didn't expect such a weak play of his team, who last night lost 2:4 from Southampton in a Premier League match.
'I'm disappointed because I did not expect such a game, especially from the defenders. I believe that if the game was on Saturday, we could get a lot better. Now we thought more about the match with Real Madrid. The best way to prepare was a victory, but it didn't work.', admitted Pellegrini.
On Wednesday, we are meeting the 'Citizens' at the Santiago Bernabéu - a rematch of the semifinal in the Champions League. The first match between the two teams in England ended with 0:0. Pellegrini has made quite a few changes in his lineup for the match with Southampton.
'We have a more important game on Wednesday because we're playing for a place in the Champions League final.', Wenger commented. He left Sergio Aguero, Vincent Kompany and Kevin de Bruyne among the reserves.
