Abeladro remains the coach of Sporting Gijon 25.05.2016

Abelardo Fernandez will keep coaching position at Sporting Gijon, reports the newspaper 'Marca'.
The coach has a contract with Sporting until the summer of 2018. He renewed his contract with the club last summer.
Abelardo brought Sporting last summer to promotion in the Primera Division, and over the past season managed to save the team from relegation.
There is interest in Abelardo from Malaga, but he rejected the proposal, which received and decided to stay at Sporting Gijon.
