First triumph in the Fed Cup for the United States for 17 years

The US team won the title of the Fed Cup tournament, an unofficial world tennis championship for women.

The Americans overcame Belarus with a 3-2 win over a key pair victory in the fifth game.

So the US team added a record 18th trophy in the tournament and the first in the last 17 years. For the last time the Americans triumphed with the title in 2000 after winning Spain by 5: 0.






In the first single today, Coco Vandeui beat Arina Saballenka with 7: 6 (5), 6: 1 and gave a 2-1 victory to the US and brought the team to a success.

US Open champion Sloan Stevens, however, made a move against Alexandra Sasnovich and lost a winning game. Stevens won the first set with 6: 4 and lost the second with 1: 6. In the third set, the American was serving to win the match at 5: 4, but broke through, and this kicked off as Sasnovich left Belarus in the game after 8: 6.

So the outcome of the game was resolved after a fifth pair match between Coco Vandewai and Shelby Rogers for the United States and Arina Sabbalenka and Sasnovich for Belarus. Both Vandewai and Rogers overcame two sets with 6: 3, 7: 6 (3) and brought the trophy for the US team.
