Middlesbrough fired Gary Monk 24.12.2017

Middlesbrough fired manager Gary Monk for unsatisfactory results in the second level of English football. Monk took up the club in June after dropping out of the Premier League, but under his leadership, the Northlanders achieved only 10 wins in 23 games in Championship and occupy ninth place at 12 points from the direct promotion position for the elite. Middlesbrough lost three of his last five matches, which overcame the club`s patience. Monk will be replaced temporarily by Coach Academy Coach Craig Liddle to find a suitable new manager of the team.
