Del Potro shocks Hewitt 12.02.2011

Argentine tennis player Juan Del Potro hit Australian Lleyton Hewitt at the prestigious tournament in San Jose, California. Success came strongly with 6:2 and 6:3 sets. That was the first clash of the winners in the Grand Slam in the last 8 years.

The victory did not come too hard and Del Potro was unable to make a breakthrough at the beginning and both sets and thus relatively easy to deal then with his opponent.

The next rival will be Argentina's Fernando Verdasco after the ice as the Spaniard won with 6:4, 6:4 Denis Istomin. For second-place finish in San Jose had to argue Gael Monfils and Canadian Milos Raonich but the Frenchman withdrew due to injury in the wrist after beating American Tim Smichek.
