Spaniard Gets Europe League final 16.05.2011

Spanish judge Carlos Velasco Karbayo get detail from the final of UEFA Europa League. Portuguese match between Porto and Sporting (Braga) is on Wednesday in Dublin.

40-year-old referee, who is an engineer by profession, debuted in La Liga in 2004 and three years later became an international arbitrator. In early 2011 he received the UEFA referee category "Elite".

Curiously, in the Spanish Cup Carlos Velasco Karbayo shows an average of six yellow cards per game. His last engagement in European tournaments was the semifinal of the Champions League match between Schalke 04 and Manchester United (0:2) in Gelsenkirchen.

The Spaniard has not led the official football matches involving FC Porto, Sporting (Braga), or other Portuguese teams in European tournaments.
