3.07.2012

The coach of the Dutch national football team Bert van Marvayk set extended team of 36 players before the start of Euro 2012.

The finalists of the last World Cup is one of the favorites to win the the trophy in Poland and Ukraine, as they will be able to rely on some of the strongest players in the world.

Perhaps the only one who has guaranteed place among the final team of 23 players is the captain of Arsenal's Robin van Persie. The Dutch forward drove his 29th and 30th hits in the Premier League this season with 3:3 with Norwich draw.

Two other players from the English elite - Tim Krull from Newcastle and Michael Worm from Swansea will compete for three places at goalkeepers. Rafael van der Vaart from Tottenham was also called up, and his colleague Dirk Kuyt from Liverpool despite his unconvincing season with the red team.

"Together with the technical staff worked hard to collect the most well-balanced group of players" said Van Marvayk. "There are some players who are returning after injury, and those who are monitored more closely, they have perfect opportunity to impress us in training."
