Montpellier defeat Rennes with 2:0 as a guest in a meeting in the 36th round in the French Ligue 1, and so they are back on top in the standings.
Two games before the end of the season Montpellier led with 3 points ahead of the 2nd Paris Saint Germain.
The success for the guests came after goal of Suleiman Camara in the 26th minute and own goal by Benoit Costil in the 52nd minute.
In the last 20 minutes of the match the hosts had several opportunities to return to the game, but they never managed to reach the goal.
In the classification Montpellier is the leader with 76 points and the 2nd PSG has 73. Rennes, remained on fifth place with 57 points, three behind the 4th Lyon. With 57 points but the fifth position is Etienne.
By the end Montpellier has hosting to the visit of Lille and Auxerre. PSG accept Rennes and travel to Lorient.
