Sigurdsson no longer wants to stay in Swansea, He consider a transfer in Liverpool

5.07.2012

Talented forward Gilfi Sigurdsson said that probably will not stay in Swansea as the manager Brendan Rodgers left to Liverpool.

The Icelander played last season on loan at Swansea from the German Hoffenheim, and both teams agreed to move the goalscorers in the team of the Premier League with a permanent transfer.

The leaving, however, of Rogers apparently has changed the decision of Sigurdsson and he no longer wishes to remain in Swansea. There is an option Rogers to take Sigurdsson with him to Liverpool, but apart from Liverpool, an interest in him has from Newcastle, Arsenal and Reading.

"At present it is unclear where I will play," said the Icelander. "I wanted to play in Swansea because I was very happy there. But after Brendan Rodgers left the club for Liverpool, this changes the situation. "

"I said that my desire is to keep playing in the Premier League and I'm certainly thinking about Liverpool. Liverpool is a great club that has a great story. The English Premier League is a platform where I want to be and I hope to continue to play in this league. "

"I expect not to stay in Swansea because of the uncertainty that's there and it is unclear who will be the manager" added Sigurdsson.
