The football federation of Slovenia terminate the contract by mutual agreement of the national coach Slavisa Stojanovic for underperformance, Reuters reported.
Stojanovic leave his post after a year in which Slovenia won only three points from four games in Group 'E' of the World Cup qualifiers.
"I feel responsible for our results in the qualifications for the World Cup 2014. We did not answer the expectations and therefore I quit. I am grateful to the Federation for giving me the opportunity to lead the national team. I wish success to the team and to my successor, "said Stojanovic.
The next match of Slovenia of the World Cup qualifiers is at home to with Iceland on 22 March
Switzerland is a leader in group "E" with 10 points before Norway with 7, Albania and Iceland with 6, Slovenia and Cyprus with 3 points.
